Denis C. Scharine

Dr. Scharine attended UW-Madison for his undergraduate work and received his B.S. in Microbiology.  He then attended Marquette University for dental school where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.  Dr. Scharine does many hours of continuing education each year, and continues to increase his knowledge as a dental provider to be able to better assist his patients on a daily basis.  He is a member of a large number of professional organizations, including those listed below:

  • American Dental Association
  • Wisconsin  Dental Association
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • American Academy of Orthodontics for the general Practitioner
  • American Academy of Facial Esthetics
  • Waupaca County Dental Association - Past President
  • Christain Dental Society - Current President

Dr. Scharine and is wife, Bonny, just celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary!  They have two daughters, and have lived in Fremont for over 35 years now.  Dr. Scharine is also very involved in the community.  He served 12 years on the Fremont Village Board, and participates in fundraising efforts each year for various programs and teams from the local school district.  Additionally, the dental office sponsors a section of highway in the Adopt-a-Highway program in Wisconsin, to help keep Fremont clean.

In 1999 Dr. Scharine was introduced to the Christian Dental Society, and was very encouraged by the mission work many of the dentists were doing. In 2000 the Scharine family went on their first mission trip and were hooked. Dr. Scharine and Bonny continue to go on mission trips and see them as a means to share Christ, as well as much needed dental services to local residents. Dr. Scharine is excited to now be training indigenous people to do extractions if they have the proper equipment. He sees it as an opportunity for them to serve their fellow man as well as share the love of Christ.

When not doing dentistry Dr. Scharine enjoys boating, snowboarding, and anything that involves near-death encounters!
